Details of the Job/Internship
CMI & Co. India is hiring a Legal Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join their corporate and commercial practice.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate high-value commercial contracts and service agreements.
- Provide strategic transaction advisory and conduct detailed due diligence for domestic and cross-border deals.
- Evaluate legal and commercial risks to support strategic decision-making for clients.
- Structure complex agreements tailored to specific business objectives and regulatory frameworks.
- Handle enforcement work, including the drafting of legal notices and demand letters.
- Support litigation processes and coordinate with external counsel for dispute resolution.
- Manage matter lifecycles in a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision and clarity.
Eligibility
- Law degree (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- 2–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate and commercial law.
- Strong fundamentals in legal theory and sharp drafting skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex legal and commercial issues with clarity.
- Detail-oriented approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to take ownership of matters and work effectively under pressure.
