Details of the Job/Internship

Cogneesol is hiring a Legal Associate with relevant experience to join its office in Mohali, Punjab. The role involves legal research, drafting, contract management, litigation support, and coordination with clients and external counsel to ensure timely and accurate legal deliverables.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conducting legal research on statutes, case laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
• Analysing legal documents and providing summaries or insights to assist attorneys.
• Drafting legal documents including contracts, agreements, notices, pleadings, and motions.
• Creating templates and standard operating procedures for legal processes.
• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts such as NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, and employment contracts.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and client-specific standards.
• Providing litigation support, including summarising depositions, interrogatories, and witness statements.
• Creating chronologies, including medical chronologies for personal injury matters.
• Communicating with client representatives and external counsel to ensure clarity of tasks.
• Providing updates, reports, and deliverables within specified timelines.

Eligibility

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in LPO, including personal injury, contract lifecycle management, drafting, and legal research.
• Bachelor of Law (LLB) or LLM.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills for handling client calls and queries.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

Salary/Stipend
