Details of the Job/Internship
They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Associate to oversee the drafting, reviewing, and vetting of legal agreements and policies. The ideal candidate will ensure that all documents adhere to legal standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. This role requires strong legal acumen, research capabilities, and an ability to collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality, legally sound documentation.
Role and Responsibilities
Drafting of Agreements & Policies
- Prepare, review, and finalize various legal agreements, including NDAs, partnership agreements, employment contracts, service agreements, and internal policies.
- Ensure that drafted documents align with client requirements and legal standards.
- Conduct necessary legal research to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and applicability of agreements and policies.
Reviewing & Vetting of Documents
- Conduct thorough reviews of legal documents, agreements, and policies drafted by junior staff or third parties.
- Assess external agreements received from clients, partners, or third parties to identify potential legal risks and compliance concerns.
- Recommend improvements, corrections, and amendments to enhance legal clarity and enforceability.
Legal Compliance & Accuracy
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Incorporate necessary legal updates into drafted agreements and policies.
- Verify compliance with local, national, and international laws where applicable.
Timely Execution of Work
- Manage and prioritize drafting tasks based on deadlines and client requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of agreements and policies within the agreed-upon timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary inputs and approvals.
Quality Assurance in Documentation
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and consistency in all legal documents.
- Ensure that all agreements and policies are properly reviewed and edited before finalization.
- Standardize language, structure, and presentation across all legal documentation.
Collaboration with Clients and Internal Teams
- Work closely with internal teams, including HR, finance, and operations, to ensure comprehensive and legally sound agreements.
- Communicate with clients to clarify requirements, address concerns, and align on contractual terms.
- Provide guidance on legal documentation best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in legal documentation tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary/Stipend
