Details of the Job/Internship

Eide Bailly LLP is hiring a Legal Associate with experience of 1–5 years to join its Mumbai Metropolitan Region office. The Legal Associate will support law department operations, particularly in the area of contract review. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts such as client engagement letters, master services agreements, and statements of work. The position also includes assisting the Request for Proposal response team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned projects, and working outside non-traditional business hours when required.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support law department operations with a focus on contracts review.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including engagement letters, master services agreements, and statements of work.
• Assist the Request for Proposal response team in preparing submissions for public and private entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate performance of assigned projects.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently and see projects through to completion.

Eligibility

• 1–5 years of professional legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• LL.B. or integrated law degree from a recognised university in India, or a Juris Doctor degree.
• Additional qualifications such as Company Secretary are desirable.
• Strong business acumen, with prior experience in a professional services firm preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High standards of professional ethics and integrity.
