Details of the Job/Internship

Embassy Group is hiring a Legal Associate with 8+ years of experience in real estate practice to join their Mumbai office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle litigations related to land, residential, and commercial projects.
• Manage litigation before courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial authorities including RERA and consumer forums.
• Draft and finalize legal documents related to litigation.
• Coordinate with High Court counsels, law firms, and internal departments.
• Review and finalize title search reports and title certificates.
• Draft documentation for real estate projects including lease, mortgage, and trust deeds.
• Draft Joint Development Agreements and ancillary documents.
• Structure transactions involving finance companies.
• Draft and finalize agreements for sale, sale deeds, allotment letters, and legal notices.
• Liaise with municipal authorities and related departments.
• Provide legal advice on land/building transactions and flat/apartment deals.
• Assess legal risks and propose remedial measures.
• Analyze property documents, investigate property history, and zoning.
• Prepare closing checklists and assemble documents for transaction closing.
• Assist in stamp duty calculation, adjudication, and registration of documents.

Eligibility

• LL.B, LL.M.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in real estate practice in Maharashtra.
• Law firm experience is a must.
• In-depth understanding of litigation and non-litigation matters.
• Prior experience in handling real estate legal issues is required.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
