Details of the Job/Internship
Epiq is hiring a Legal Associate to join their office in Hyderabad. As a Legal Associate in the Contract Management division of Epiq Global, your role encompasses a range of essential tasks:
- Drafting and Vetting: Create, review, and maintain a comprehensive repository of various legal documents, including agreements and notices.
- Relevancy and Privilege Review: Participate in reviewing documents to identify items relevant to investigations or dispute consulting matters. Ensure compliance with privilege concepts and perform quality control.
- Research and Analysis: Assist with researching technical and industry-specific issues relevant to legal cases.
- Report Preparation: Aid in drafting reports and findings, including the preparation of tables, exhibits, and charts.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, vetting, and maintaining a repository of various agreements, notices and other legal documents.
- Assist in Relevancy, Privilege, Data Privacy Reviews: Review documents to identify items relevant to investigation or dispute consulting matter.
- Participate in missed relevancy or privilege concepts and/or perform quality control.
- Assist with researching technical and industry-specific issues.
- Assist with drafting of reports and findings, including the preparation of tables, exhibits, and charts.
Eligibility
Key Skills and Competencies Required:
- Evaluate and perform the review, annotation, abstraction, and summarization of various types of contracts including Non-Disclosure Agreements, License Agreements, Master Service Agreements and Distribution Agreements according to contract templates.
- Work on different platforms (CLM tools) and adopt new technologies.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision, and Outlook) and contract management systems
- Perform legal research, compliance, due diligence related work.
- Escalate queries based on sample documents as and when required.
- Report metrics appropriately
- Track and report quality for the QC’ed work
- Contribute best practices for the work performed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information of organization and client information
- Complete work on time along with maintaining the required quality.
- Ensure that the daily targets are achieved.

- Work on different platforms (CLM tools) and adopt new technologies.
- Ability to read and understand complex contractual languages in lieu of client’s requirements.
- High level of positive attitude (‘Can do’ attitude) and follow problem solving approach.

- Flexible to work in rotating shifts.
- Good in written and verbal English

- Familiar with the U.S. judicial system, understanding of legal fundamentals, methods, and procedures from the U.S. perspective (Not Applicable to Freshers);

- Reporting - The candidate will be directly reporting to a manager who will be responsible for his/her growth, performance, feedback, etc. Additionally, during live engagements, he will be reporting to his/her project Team Lead/ Review Manager.
Qualification And Experience:
- LLB (three- or five-year program), LLM (optional) India or Abroad.
- Work Experience: should be post qualification 0-3 Years.
- For Freshers (Final year results should not be pending).
