Details of the Job/Internship

Evergreen Renewables is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Associate with 2 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiation of all business-related contracts, agreements, term sheets, notices, vendor agreements, non-disclosure / confidentiality agreements, PPAs, SHAs, SPAs and other M&A and renewable energy sector related agreements
• Manage complex legal related projects and workflows for the business development team.
• Supports various aspects of M&A transactions, including, due diligence, document preparation, closing mechanics and post-closing administration.
• Coordinating and managing litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters with the external legal counsel / law firms for the Company
• Assisting the land team to review title documents and due diligence documents for land pockets for the projects.
• Coordinating with the finance and compliance team for corporate due diligence of SPVs for mergers, acquisition, and sale of projects
• Responsibly manage filing and database of physical and soft copies of all legal, litigation and projects documents
• Assessing, analyzing, managing, and mitigating the legal risks associated with various documents and transactions.

Eligibility

• LLB / B.A LLB / BLS LLB or any 3 year or 5-year integrated degree in Law recognized in India from an accredited and recognized institute.
• Knowledge and experience in Companies Act 2013, transactional laws, regulatory laws and other corporate laws.
• Preferred having prior exposure to M&A transactions.
• Prior experience / relevant experience of minimum 2 years in renewable sector or corporate setting.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
