GIVA is hiring a Legal Associate with 2–4 years of experience to support its legal function.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on statutes, case laws, regulations, and precedents.
- Prepare legal research memoranda and assist senior legal professionals.
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, pleadings, briefs, and legal correspondence.
- Assist in preparing case summaries, due diligence reports, and transaction documents.
- Manage litigation files, compliance tasks, and legal documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external counsel, clients, and regulators.
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and document management systems.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates.
- Attend meetings, negotiations, and court hearings under supervision.
- Monitor regulatory changes and support compliance audits and risk assessments.
Eligibility
- Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 2–4 years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or similar legal environment.
- Strong legal research, writing, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- High standards of professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment.
