Details of the Job/Internship
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indian law-qualified corporate lawyer to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will come with at least 1-3 PQE with a strong background in PE, M&A, and Corporate Advisory.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate term sheets and transaction documents about private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions etc.
- Drafting and negotiating documents relating to term loans, issuance of debt instruments (eg, NCDs, CP), securitization transactions (PTC/DA, etc.)
- Assist in legal due diligence for investments, acquisitions, and other corporate actions.
- Provide legal advisory on corporate governance and compliance with applicable laws.
- Conduct thorough legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and provide strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, secretarial, and compliance, to address legal issues and mitigate risks.
Eligibility
- 5 year integrated degree in law from a recognized Indian university.
- Previous experience with a reputable law firm is mandatory.
- PQE of 1-4 years as a lawyer working in the required fields.
- Strong knowledge of Indian corporate laws and regulations, and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills.
