Details of the Job/Internship

Gruve is hiring a Legal Counsel with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience to support its India operations from Pune. The role involves commercial contract management, corporate governance, privacy compliance, and employment law, while collaborating with global legal teams and supporting U.S. operations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, customer, and service-level contracts.
• Advise on corporate governance and ensure compliance with Indian corporate laws and regulations.
• Support privacy and data protection initiatives in line with Indian and international frameworks.
• Advise HR and management on employment law issues including policies, contracts, terminations, and dispute resolution.
• Liaise with global legal teams to align practices with U.S. and European standards.
• Provide legal assistance for U.S. operations, including contract reviews and compliance matters.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes and mitigate associated risks.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent from a recognized Indian university.
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification legal experience in a law firm or in-house, preferably in a technology or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Indian contract and corporate law.
• Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations (DPDP Act, GDPR, etc.).
• Understanding of Indian labor and employment laws.
• Exposure to U.S. and/or European legal systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Stipend
