Details of the Job/Internship
IndiaLaw LLP is hiring two Legal Associates with 1–2 years of experience to join their Cochin office, one each for the Real Estate Legal Team and the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC) Legal Team.
Role and Responsibilities
Real Estate Legal Team Associate
- Draft, review, and vet real estate agreements including sale deeds, lease deeds, and development agreements.
- Conduct title due diligence and prepare title search/title verification reports.
- Advise clients on property laws, stamp duty, and registration formalities.
- Coordinate with landowners, developers, and government offices.
IBC Legal Team Associate
- Assist in insolvency and bankruptcy litigation including appearances before NCLT and appellate tribunals.
- Draft pleadings, applications, legal notices, and client advisory notes under the IBC.
- Conduct legal research on insolvency-related matters.
- Liaise with Insolvency Professionals (IPs), Resolution Applicants, and Corporate Debtors.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized university.
- Enrollment with the Bar Council is mandatory.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in Real Estate or IBC-related practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability in legal drafting, research, and client communication.
- Good understanding of legal documentation and court procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
