Details of the Job/Internship

IVY League Ventures is hiring a Legal Associate in Indore. Candidates must have 3 years of experience in a reputed law firm handling corporate legal matters.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance on all company matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MoUs, Term Sheets and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests.
• Draft legal notices and ensure regulatory compliance with corporate, financial, investment, and labour laws, minimizing legal risks.
• Handle legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration processes, coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Manage corporate governance matters, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations, filings, and board resolutions.
• Monitor and advise on changes in laws and regulations that may impact company operations and strategies.
• Oversee legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures.
• Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence and risk assessment throughout the startup funding lifecycle to ensure compliance, mitigate potential risks, and safeguard investor interests.
• Ensure intellectual property rights protection, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, and handle IP applications.
• Apply for intellectual property rights and ensure compliance with the Intellectual Property Act.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, government bodies, and industry associations to address legal and compliance matters.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote legal compliance across the organization.
• Assist in handling employment law matters, including employee contracts, disputes, and termination processes.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all legal matters, ensuring confidentiality and security.

Eligibility

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a reputed law firm handling corporate legal matters.
• Prior experience in handling legal matters for financial institutions or investment firms is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
• Certification in corporate law, financial regulations, or compliance is advantageous.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of corporate, investment, financial, and intellectual property laws, including SEBI Acts and regulations.
• Expertise in drafting and reviewing contracts, legal agreements, and legal notices.
• Experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and arbitration.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Legal due diligence experience.
• Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple legal issues simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• High ethical and moral standards with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
