Details of the Job/Internship

KLDiscovery is hiring for the position of Legal Associate to join their office in Chennai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform contract abstraction, summarization, and management using CLM platforms.
• Review and ensure quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) of commercial contracts in alignment with established playbook guidelines.
• Conduct peer reviews to verify the accuracy and completeness of abstracted data, ensuring all critical clauses and key terms are captured.
• Interpret and extract essential information from various commercial agreements, including MSAs, amendments, DPAs, NDAs, and other non-standard contracts.
• Accurately enter abstracted data into contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools such as Ironclad, Contract Works, Conga, Icertis, and others.
• Identify and flag incomplete or ambiguous information requiring clarification or follow-up.
• Train and mentor new team members on the contract abstraction process and best practices.
• Proactively identify potential risks and escalate them to the appropriate stakeholders or management.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation related to processes, tasks, and outcomes.
• Communicate progress and updates to internal stakeholders and management regularly.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of process documentation, including guidelines and training manuals.
• Support the ongoing revision and enhancement of client-specific guidelines.
• Perform final quality assurance checks on reviewed contracts to ensure consistency and compliance.
