Details of the Job/Internship

Lactalis India is hiring a Legal Associate to join their legal team in Chennai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and review commercial contracts including service, lease, loan, and sale agreements.
• Handle complex civil litigation matters, including drafting legal notices and negotiating settlements.
• Conduct legal research and assist senior attorneys in trial preparation.
• Draft legal documents such as suits, petitions, notices, and complaints.
• Advise clients on property, business, labour, and corporate law matters.
• Coordinate filings, court hearings, and representation with internal legal teams.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB); a Master's degree (LLM) is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of civil laws, property laws, contractual and commercial laws.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and court matters simultaneously.

Salary/Stipend
