However, with 2/3rds of all court cases in India dealing with land-related disputes, it is essential that people have accessible public records to both protect themselves against litigation and provide appropriate documentation for facilitating transactions.

Details of the Job/Internship

Landeed | YC is hiring for the position of Legal Associate with 2-7 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth title searches and examine property records such as deeds, encumbrance certificates, and mutation records.
• Analyze land record data, registry filings, and legal instruments to assess ownership, encumbrances, and potential legal risks.
• Draft detailed Title Search Reports, including legal commentary and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Communicate with registrars, local authorities, and internal teams to validate property data and clarify findings.
• Ensure all reports adhere to applicable state and national land laws, regulations, and internal compliance standards.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: LL.B. (required); LL.M. (preferred).
• Experience: 2–7 years in preparing title search or real estate due diligence reports.
• Prior experience working with banks or financial institutions is a strong advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian land laws, property registration procedures, and local authority processes.
• Strong skills in legal research, document analysis, and drafting.
• High attention to detail and the ability to identify and explain complex title issues clearly.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Language proficiency in Gujarati and Marathi is required.
