Details of the Job/Internship
Lily Thomas & Saju Jakob is hiring a Legal Associate with 3–5 years of litigation experience for its New Delhi office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters end-to-end, from initial drafting to actual court appearances.
- Draft various legal documents including writ petitions, pleadings, notices, and legal opinions.
- Appear regularly before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, District Courts, and various Tribunals.
- Support Senior Advocates during the preparation and hearing of complex legal matters.
- Manage client relationships and contribute to the firm's public interest advocacy initiatives.
- Conduct extensive research using legal databases like SCC Online and Manupatra.
Eligibility
- Experience: 3–5 years of active post-qualification experience in litigation.
- Education: LL.B. from a recognized university and valid enrollment with an Indian Bar Council.
- Skills: Strong command of the English language, excellent advocacy skills, and high ethical standards.
- Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in legal research tools (SCC Online/Manupatra) and case management.
