Details of the Job/Internship

MCO Legals is hiring for multiple vacancies in its Mumbai-based Litigation Team. The firm is specifically looking for practicing advocates with 1–2 years (2 roles) and 2–4 years (2 roles) of law firm experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in the drafting of legal pleadings, including plaints, written statements, replications, and writ petitions.
• Conduct exhaustive legal research on complex civil, commercial, and criminal matters to support case strategies.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of litigation and arbitration matters.
• Appear before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums, including the Bombay High Court and District Courts.
• Prepare comprehensive briefs and notes for senior advocates and partners.
• Coordinate with clients to gather evidence, provide case updates, and manage expectations.
• Ensure timely filing of documents and adherence to strict court-mandated deadlines.
• Participate in internal brainstorming sessions to develop effective advocacy strategies.

Eligibility

• Practicing Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.
• 1–2 years or 2–4 years of solid litigation experience in a law firm.
• Strict Requirement: Experience from a corporate/in-house office is not applicable.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Hands-on experience in handling arbitration matters.
