Details of the Job/Internship

Members Chit Private Limited is hiring a Legal Associate with 5 years of experience to join their Coimbatore office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts and agreements.
• Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to chit fund industry
• Handle legal records and efficiently prepare and manage documentation while fund disbursement.
• Collaborate with internal team to ensure legal compliances in business operations.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentation on legal matters.
• Assist in counselling customers from the delinquent accounts list and propose settlements, prepare and issue legal notices, handle arbitration at the court and with the Registrar of Chits.
• Co-ordinate with senior lawyers from Coimbatore and Kerala to support legal processes and judiciary matters.
• Identify risk and manage risk as and when required.
• Ability to mentor and guide the team with legal matters.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and minimum 5 year’s work experience in legal offices in similar roles.
• Strong understanding of chit fund / financial service regulations and legal requirements for arbitration/ judiciary matters.
• Excellent research, writing, drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Attention to detail.
• Residing within 5 km radius from Sungam Bye Pass Road.

Salary/Stipend

₹2,40,000 to ₹3,00,000 per year CTC
