Details of the Job/Internship

Olea is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Associate with 5 to 8 years of experience to join them at their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage legal documentation across the company, ensuring that our agreements with counterparties, e.g. service providers, are robust, including to satisfy, in letter and spirit, all applicable regulatory and legal requirements, guidelines, policies and minimum legal documentation standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of vendor management processes.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Procuring that appropriate legal templates are developed and used.
• Provide support to stakeholders as necessary, including liaising with external vendors to negotiate agreements.
• Ensure overall compliance with applicable laws and regulations in our enterprise framework, including compliance with international sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, and fraud.

Eligibility

• Experience in contract law and commercial law with a focus on vendor. and enterprise agreements are essential.
• Experience in intellectual property law is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong research, analytical and drafting skills.
• Business acumen.
• Qualifications (training, licences, memberships and certifications): Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction with 5-8 years of PQE.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
