Details of the Job/Internship
OneAssist Consumer Solutions is hiring a Legal Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves end-to-end management of contracts, handling consumer litigation, coordinating with external legal partners, and ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and validate a wide variety of commercial agreements to support business requirements.
- Handle agreements including partner and client agreements, service agreements, tripartite agreements, logistics agreements, manpower agreements, retail and distribution partner agreements, D2R agreements, technology agreements, BER agreements, and liquidation partner agreements.
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including partner/vendor onboarding procedures.
- Maintain and update a central agreement tracker to monitor contract status, key dates, and obligations.
- Collaborate with the Consumer Experience team to assess legal matters and determine a course of action.
- Liaise with external counsel and legal service providers for consumer-related cases.
- Review and finalize drafts of legal documents including replies, evidence affidavits, written arguments, and other court applications.
- Coordinate notarization, execution, and dispatch of court documents to local advocates.
- Follow up with advocates on case status and update internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a comprehensive litigation tracker.
- Ensure full and timely compliance with final orders and directives issued by courts.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external counsel.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracker management.
Salary/Stipend
