Details of the Job/Internship

Palmonas is hiring for the position of Legal Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join their office in Pune. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents including lease agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and retail partnership agreements.
• Support legal documentation for store launches, retail expansions, and asset purchases.
• Ensure end-to-end compliance with local municipal laws, labor regulations, and licensing requirements at all retail locations.
• Conduct legal due diligence for potential retail locations and vendor partnerships.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel for dispute resolution, statutory notices, and litigation matters.
• Manage intellectual property (IP) portfolios including trademarks, brand protection, and related filings.
• Maintain an organized legal repository, contract lifecycle tracker, and compliance database.
• Provide legal advisory to internal teams, especially on operational risk, employment laws, and regulatory concerns.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognized law school; certifications in corporate, commercial, or real estate law are an advantage.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail, fashion, F&B, or lifestyle industries.
• Sound knowledge of contract law, commercial real estate leasing, and compliance management.
• Proficient in MS Office tools and legal document drafting.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Salary/Stipend
