Details of the Job/Internship
PaySprint Private Limited is looking for a Legal Associate with 2+ years of experience for a full-time role in New Delhi, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Legal Advisory & Compliance:
- Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business operations.
- Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws, including the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, labor laws, and industry-specific regulations.
- Monitor legal developments and advise management on their implications.
- Contract Management:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize various contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, lease agreements, and MoUs.
- Ensure all contracts align with legal and business requirements, minimizing risk exposure.
- Maintain proper documentation and contract repositories.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
- Manage legal disputes, litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings involving the company.
- Coordinate with external counsels and legal consultants for representation in courts or tribunals.
- Maintain case records and monitor the status of legal matters.
- Corporate & Secretarial Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with corporate laws, including board resolutions, shareholder meetings, and statutory filings.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities such as MCA, SEBI, RBI, and other government bodies.
- Assist in drafting and filing regulatory documents.
- Risk Management:
- Identify legal risks in business transactions and propose risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop policies and procedures to safeguard the company's legal interests.
- Conduct legal audits and due diligence on key business transactions.
- Intellectual Property (IP) & Data Protection:
- Manage IP matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws.
- Employment & Labor Laws:
- Provide legal support on HR-related matters, including employment contracts, disciplinary actions, and labor disputes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employee benefits regulations, and workplace policies.
- Regulatory & Government Liaison:
- Engage with regulatory authorities and government agencies on behalf of the company.
- Handle licenses, approvals, and certifications required for business operations.
Eligibility
- Education: LL.B. (Mandatory); LL.M. or CS qualification is a plus.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in corporate legal, compliance, and contract management in the Fintech industry (preferably in an in-house role).
- Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and employment laws.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters and work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in dealing with regulatory authorities and legal disputes.
- Preferred Industry Experience:
- Banking, FinTech, IT, Manufacturing, Retail, or any other relevant industry
