Details of the Job/Internship

Peko is hiring a Legal Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join their remote legal team. The role offers hands-on exposure to contracts, corporate structuring, compliance, legal operations, and policy development across multiple jurisdictions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements, consulting agreements, and employment-related documents.
• Maintain and update internal contract templates, trackers, and workflows to enhance legal operations.
• Support preparation of board resolutions, PoAs, and other corporate documentation.
• Assist with entity compliance, filings, and registrations in coordination with external counsel and authorities.
• Conduct legal research on commercial, corporate, data protection, and employment laws.
• Develop internal frameworks for data privacy, AML, and KYC.
• Draft guidance notes, research briefs, and checklists for teams.
• Build SOPs, knowledge tools, and internal explainers for company-wide use.
• Support implementation of contract management and e-signature tools.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to teams across the organisation.

Eligibility

• LL.B from a recognized law school with license to practice law in India.
• 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Strong knowledge of commercial law, contracts, and corporate governance.
• Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional work is an advantage.

Salary/Stipend
