Details of the Job/Internship
PINscale is hiring a Legal Associate with 1–2 years of experience to join their Legal and Compliance team in Hyderabad. The role involves commercial contracting, compliance management, coordination with external counsel and consultants, and collaboration with internal teams. The position is suited for candidates comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment and managing structured legal workflows end-to-end.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Overseeing routine compliance activities and ensuring adherence to laws and internal policies.
- Liaising with external legal counsel, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Conducting legal research on corporate, technology, IT, and data protection laws.
- Supporting IP documentation, including registrations and renewals.
- Drafting and updating internal policies.
- Providing legal inputs to internal teams.
- Maintaining documentation discipline through version control and compliance logs.
- Supporting audits, due diligence, and risk assessments.
- Reviewing procurement, tender, and government documentation.
- Preparing summaries, notes, emails, and advisories.
- Leading and managing team members and ensuring timely deliverables.
- Identifying and implementing improvements in legal and compliance processes.
Eligibility
- LL.B./B.A. LL.B./B.B.A. LL.B. with 1–2 years of experience, preferably in a General Corporate or Technology/Commercial Contracts team.
- Strong drafting and contract negotiation skills.
- Ability to liaise with external counsel, consultants, and statutory authorities.
- Understanding of Indian corporate laws, IT and data protection frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong research skills and analytical thinking.
- High ownership, organisational discipline, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential matters.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: Experience with early-stage or technology-driven companies, and exposure to IP portfolio management, compliance documentation, or government-facing projects.
