Details of the Job/Internship
PINscale is hiring a Legal Associate with experience of 1–2 years to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, licensing agreements, vendor contracts, technology and SaaS documents, and partnership arrangements.
- Oversee routine statutory, contractual, and process-driven compliance activities and ensure timely adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, consultants, and regulatory bodies, and manage filings, timelines, and deliverables.
- Conduct legal research on corporate laws, technology regulations, the IT Act, the DPDP Act, IP laws, and other relevant frameworks.
- Review and support intellectual property documentation, including registrations, renewals, usage guidelines, ownership confirmations, and brand protection.
- Identify, draft, implement, and update internal policies from time to time.
- Provide legal inputs to operations, technology, HR, and product teams to align business needs with compliance standards.
- Maintain contract repositories, compliance logs, version control, and structured file management.
- Support audits, due diligence processes, and risk assessments.
- Review procurement, tender, and government documentation and coordinate submissions and compliance requirements.
- Prepare summaries, notes, emails, and internal advisories for management.
- Lead and manage team members reporting to them, ensuring quality and timely deliverables.
- Identify areas for improvement in legal and compliance processes and drive end-to-end implementation of enhancements.
Eligibility
- LL.B., B.A. LL.B., or B.B.A. LL.B. with 1–2 years of experience in a law firm, preferably in General Corporate or Technology and Commercial Contracts.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with an understanding of commercial and technology agreements.
- Good understanding of Indian corporate laws, IT and data protection frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong research, analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with integrity and discretion.
- Preferred experience with early-stage or technology-driven companies and exposure to IP portfolio management or compliance documentation.
