Podhini Overseas Consultants is hiring a Legal Associate with experience of 5 to 8 years to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
Contract Drafting and Review:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Litigation Support:
- Assist in preparing for litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Liaise with external counsel and manage litigation files.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Advise clients on compliance with corporate laws, regulations, and policies.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
Client Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their legal needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Maintain strong client relationships .
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Licensed to practice law in India.
- Minimum of 3 to 8 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of Indian corporate laws,regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in handling corporate transactions and regulatory compliance.
