Rentokil Initial is hiring for the position of Legal Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Case Management & Recovery
- Coordinate with external legal counsel to manage litigation and recovery cases across India.
- Monitor recovery proceedings, maintain trackers, and prepare compliance reports.
- Act as the legal point of contact for all recovery-related matters, ensuring timely execution and reporting.
Legal Drafting & Documentation
- Draft and review a variety of legal documents including legal notices, customer/government correspondence, agreements, amendments, MOUs, and NDAs.
- Proofread and refine legal documents for accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
Contract Management
- Review and negotiate customer contracts to ensure alignment with internal policies and compliance requirements.
- Assess and modify customer-submitted templates to meet legal and business standards.
Representation & Liaison
- Represent the organization in court as an authorized representative when required.
- Liaise with legal agencies, credit control teams, business units, and branches to ensure smooth coordination and alignment on legal matters.
Compliance & Advisory
- Support compliance activities and advisory related to regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (RPCI and RIHI business teams) to ensure legal risk mitigation, especially in recovery suits
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
- 2–5 years of experience in legal case handling, contract review, and compliance (preferred).
- Experience liaising with external counsel and handling litigation, particularly recovery suits.
