Details of the Job/Internship

Scoutit is hiring a Legal Associate for an entry-level role in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region for one of its clients. The position involves contract drafting and review, corporate legal advisory, compliance support, ESG framework assistance, intellectual property management, and coordination with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, prepare, vet, and review complex business, commercial, and non-commercial contracts, including software licence agreements, NDAs, distributor agreements, research collaboration agreements, service agreements, letters of intent, vendor agreements, and employment agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide legal advice and support on general corporate law matters, including day-to-day management issues, policy matters, disputes, international commercial law, and intellectual property laws.
• Ensure ESG compliance and assist in setting up and implementing the ESG framework, including developing and executing the ESG roadmap.
• Liaise and coordinate with external counsel and authorities on legal and compliance matters and communicate opinions and advice to internal stakeholders.
• Manage the organisation’s intellectual property portfolio and coordinate with the Data Protection Officer on data protection matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Data Processing Agreements and responding to internal and external queries.
