Details of the Job/Internship

SHIELD is hiring a Legal Associate with experience of 2+ years to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and amending agreements and legal documents, supporting global business units, and participating in internal meetings. The candidate will also work on data protection compliance, legal research, and maintaining legal documentation while contributing to a fast-growing corporate environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, negotiate, and amend agreements and other legal documents.
• Develop and improve legal templates in collaboration with attorneys and external law firms, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Support drafting, review, and negotiation of Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and advise on GDPR and data protection compliance across jurisdictions.
• Maintain and organise internal contract repositories and legal/policy documentation with proper version control and accessibility.
• Provide legal advice and stay updated on changes in laws.
• Conduct legal research and support legal projects as required.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Eligibility

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of legal experience, particularly in drafting commercial agreements.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and manage time-sensitive documents with strong organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Stipend
