Details of the Job/Internship
Simple Energy is hiring a Legal Associate with 1 year of relevant experience to join their office in Bangalore.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise various legal documents, including contracts, notices, and basic IP documentation.
- Standardize templates for agreements and legal documents to improve organizational efficiency.
- Maintain and organize contract repositories, tracking key obligations and deadlines.
- Communicate legal inputs clearly to internal stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and external counsel.
- Conduct legal research on commercial matters, case laws, and evolving regulations, specifically in the IP domain.
- Analyze legal issues to provide practical recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Support departmental compliance and assist in preparing internal advisories and checklists.
- Assist in implementing internal policies, including data protection and contractual compliance frameworks.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B. is mandatory).
- 1 year of relevant experience in legal drafting, litigation support, or IP-related work.
- Preferred: Fluency in Kannada, English, and Tamil.
- Advantage: Additional certification in Intellectual Property Law.
- Strong working knowledge of litigation processes and contract vetting.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
