Details of the Job/Internship
Snapmint is hiring a Legal Associate with 1–4 years of post-qualification experience to join its legal team in Mumbai. The role involves providing legal and regulatory support across fintech and NBFC operations, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, managing regulatory compliance, advising on legal risks, and working closely with internal stakeholders, regulators, and external counsel.
Role and Responsibilities
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, including service agreements, partnerships, merchant onboarding documents, and financing agreements.
- Conducting research on RBI NBFC norms, fintech regulations, data protection laws, and consumer lending standards.
- Managing legal risk across lending, collections, marketing, and data usage functions.
- Handling regulatory filings, audits, and engagement with authorities such as RBI and MCA.
- Monitoring timelines and ensuring compliance in relation to notices, litigation, and dispute resolution.
- Coordinating with external counsel for litigation, structuring, and regulatory opinions.
- Preparing materials for internal training on legal and regulatory topics.
- Monitoring and communicating legal and regulatory updates affecting the fintech and NBFC sector.
- Contributing to internal policy development, governance frameworks, and compliance monitoring.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed university in India.
- 1–4 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with exposure to fintech, NBFCs, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of regulatory advisory, commercial contracts, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business teams, regulators, and external counsel.
