Details of the Job/Internship
Sony Pictures Networks is hiring for the position of Legal Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to distribution, including marketing, channel placement, and landing page agreements with platform operators.
- Prepare and review service agreements and related documents for the distribution vertical.
- Provide transactional support throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams — sales, commercial, and departmental heads — to provide legal insights and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor and interpret regulations, Tariff Orders, and ensure compliance with TRAI and other applicable authorities.
- Review and draft responses to Consultation Papers issued by TRAI affecting the broadcasting/distribution sector.
- Draft and issue legal notices, assist in recovery matters and coordinate with external counsel.
- Support legal proceedings before TDSAT, Magistrate Courts, High Courts, and the Supreme Court, including petition review and liaison with advocates.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); Master of Laws (LL.M) preferred.
- 4–6 years of post-qualification experience.
- Prior experience in a mid-to-large corporate environment, preferably in broadcasting, media, or telecom sectors.
