Details of the Job/Internship
Symbyont Smart Spaces is hiring for the position of Legal Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Contract Drafting & Negotiation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements including lease deeds, leave and license agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and other commercial contracts.
- Negotiate favorable terms with counterparties while mitigating legal risks.
2. Contract Lifecycle Management:
- Maintain a centralized repository for all executed contracts and related documents.
- Monitor key contract dates, obligations, and renewals to ensure timely compliance and execution.
3. Redlining & Legal Commentary:
- Review and redline contracts to ensure legal soundness and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide clear, actionable legal feedback to internal teams and counterparties.
4. Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure all contracts and internal processes comply with applicable laws and company policies.
- Draft, review, and update internal legal policies and SOPs as needed.
5. Stakeholder Liaison & Communication:
- Collaborate with internal departments (HR, Finance, Operations, etc.) to provide legal guidance and support.
- Engage with external stakeholders such as landlords, vendors, and clients to resolve contractual issues and disputes.
6. Legal Research & Advisory:
- Conduct legal research on contract law, compliance regulations, and relevant legal developments.
- Assist in handling disputes, litigation, and other legal matters when required.
Eligibility
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- Additional certifications in corporate or commercial law are an advantage.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal or law firm environment.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and leases.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong command over legal drafting and negotiation techniques.
- Proficiency in redlining and commenting on legal documents.
- Sound understanding of compliance frameworks and legal documentation processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with contract management systems is a plus.
Salary/Stipend
