Details of the Job/Internship

Talwar Advocates is hiring for the position of Legal Associate with 2 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram. 

You will collaborate with a dynamic and knowledgeable legal team, including:

• Jitin Talwar – A visionary legal entrepreneur with a background in law, engineering, and business strategy. A Chevening Gurukul Fellow from the University of Oxford, Jitin is known for pioneering legal innovation in IP law. He is the founder of Talwar Advocates and drives the firm’s vision of blending legal excellence with client-focused innovation.
• Pritika Kohli – An experienced legal professional specializing in intellectual property law and commercial transactions. Pritika is known for her sharp legal insight and proactive approach, managing legal deliverables and mentoring associates.
• Gursimran Singh – A dedicated associate with experience in IP law, commercial contracting, and technology law. Gursimran brings analytical rigor and a client-centric approach to the team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, NDAs, and IP-related agreements.
• Supporting trademark, copyright, and patent prosecution processes.
• Conducting legal research on commercial and IP law issues.
• Engaging with clients and providing legal advisory services.
• Assisting in expanding the firm’s client base through legal outreach and relationship management.

Eligibility

Must-Haves:

• 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in IP and/or commercial law.
• Experience with contract drafting, IP filings, and client communication.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multitask effectively.

Preferred:

• Exposure to technology law and startups.
• Interest in legal strategy and business development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
