Details of the Job/Internship
Team Counsel is hiring a Legal Associate with experience of 1–2 years to join their team in a remote role, with preference for candidates based in Bangalore.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support founders, startups, and investors on early-stage funding transactions.
- Draft and review transaction documents.
- Assist in structuring investment rounds.
- Conduct legal research on corporate matters.
- Provide practical legal advice to clients.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and clients on transactional and advisory mandates.
Eligibility
- 1–2 years of experience in corporate law.
- Experience in early-stage funding transactions, including seed or pre-seed rounds.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law and commercial contracts.
- Experience drafting agreements such as SSA, SHA, SAFEs, and convertible instruments.
- Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Professional attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
- Prior exposure to the startup ecosystem or venture capital transactions is an advantage.
