Details of the Job/Internship

Unilever is hiring a Legal Associate with 2–4 years of experience to join their office in Bangalore.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to business stakeholders, including advisory, research, and operational legal tasks.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files.
• Submit documents to official entities.
• Support the management and administration of contracts.
• Support simplification and innovation through the use of technology.
• Engage with and support other lawyers across Unilever.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with third parties using standard or negotiated templates.
• Ensure adequate schedules in supplier contracts to manage contract risk profiles.
• Coordinate with Unilever legal teams to use updated clauses, templates, and schedules.
• Provide general administrative and office support as needed.
• Support governance schedules and processes for key suppliers.
• Support ongoing compliance activities for key suppliers.
• Understand changes to standard clauses and highlight deviations and risks.
• Ensure internal contract templates are accurate and up to date.
• Identify opportunities to improve contract processes and implement changes.
• Support stakeholder relationships within Unilever and with internal and external parties.

Eligibility

• Professional qualification in law.
• PQE of 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong contract negotiation skills from legal and procurement perspectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones and countries.
• Willingness and drive for process excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a large multinational, B2C business, or FMCG business is preferable.

Salary/Stipend
