US Based Law Firm is hiring for the position of Legal Associate to join their office remotely.
Role and Responsibilities
- Monitor OP cases and priority dates, taking appropriate and timely actions.
- Draft legal documents, conduct research, and regularly update clients on procedural and case processing matters.
- Audit firm cases daily to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and update client data in the casework management system and physical files.
- Analyze case documents and prepare filings, briefs, and pleadings for USCIS and other agencies.
- Manage case intake, processing, filing, and closure.
- Organize and prepare documentation for review and submission.
- Enter accurate data in internal case management software.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and depositions with clients and witnesses.
- Assist caseworkers in preparing their cases.
- Ensure confidentiality and adhere to data protection and privacy policies.
- Keep clients informed of case progress and respond to their queries.
- Understand and apply legal procedures related to immigration, divorce, bankruptcy, and employment cases.
- Meet filing deadlines and USCIS compliance standards.
- Perform self-audits on assigned cases to ensure timely mailing and completion.
- Follow up with USCIS and court agencies as needed.
Eligibility
Experience: Freshers welcome (must hold a Law degree from a top-tier university/college in India)
