Details of the Job/Internship

Water and Shark is hiring Associate and Senior Associate (Real Estate Lawyer) professionals with 1–3 years of experience for its Mumbai, India office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate transaction documents.
• Monitor and advise on changes in global corporate and real estate laws, especially in UAE and India.
• Advise on real estate investment structures, transactions, and compliance with property ownership laws across jurisdictions.
• Conduct due diligence, title verification, and risk assessment for corporate transactions.
• Provide legal advice on governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Prepare and amend legal documents—SPAs, lease agreements, tenancy contracts, and development agreements, particularly for UAE law.
• Advise clients on legal and commercial risks in corporate transactions.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with legal team members, external counsel, and cross-functional teams for seamless transaction execution.
• Conduct legal research and draft strategic legal advice.
• Stay current with legal and industry developments in the Middle East.

Eligibility

• Degree in Common Law from a recognized university.
• 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate transactions.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, joint ventures, private equity, and real estate law.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Analytical mindset, professional ethics, and the ability to meet deadlines.
