Details of the Job/Internship
Whitehatts is hiring a Senior Legal Associate with 5–7 years of experience to join their litigation team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Independently manage and argue litigation matters before the NCLT and DRT.
- Draft complex pleadings, including petitions, replies, rejoinders, and legal notices.
- Appear before tribunals and effectively coordinate with senior counsels for high-profile hearings.
- Oversee end-to-end case management, including filings and procedural compliance.
- Conduct advanced legal research to provide strategic inputs on ongoing recovery and insolvency cases.
- Liaise with clients and external legal partners to ensure alignment on case strategy.
- Maintain strict adherence to court timelines and regulatory documentation requirements.
Eligibility
- 5–7 years of core litigation experience is mandatory.
- Strong exposure to NCLT and DRT matters is a prerequisite.
- Enrollment with the Bar Council of India.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Preferred: Mumbai-based candidates with Marathi speaking and reading skills.
- Advantage: Specific experience in handling insolvency, debt recovery, and banking-related matters.
- Ability to work independently and manage a heavy case portfolio effectively.
