Details of the Job/Internship
YES BANK is hiring a Legal Associate to join their office in the Greater Kolkata Area. The role involves supporting documentation and contract drafting, conducting legal research, assisting in litigation management and providing regulatory and compliance support.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and review standard contracts, loan agreements, NDAs and vendor or service provider agreements.
- Maintain and update legal document repositories and templates.
- Conduct legal research on banking laws, RBI circulars, regulations and case laws.
- Prepare preliminary legal opinions and notes under supervision.
- Track ongoing litigation and legal notices.
- Coordinate with external counsel and assist in preparing briefs, filings and responses.
- Support compliance with RBI guidelines, the Companies Act, the Contract Act and other statutes.
- Assist in preparing legal and compliance-related reports.
- Coordinate with business, operations, HR and risk teams.
- Liaise with external counsel, regulatory bodies and statutory authorities.
Eligibility
- Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents.
- Ability to conduct legal research on banking laws, RBI circulars and regulations.
- Understanding of litigation processes and coordination with external counsel.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to the banking sector.
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
