Details of the Job/Internship

YES BANK is hiring a Legal Associate to join its legal team in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The role involves providing legal support across documentation, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and stakeholder coordination. The position offers exposure to banking laws, RBI regulations, and corporate legal operations under the guidance of senior legal professionals.

Role and Responsibilities

Documentation and Contract Support

• Assist in drafting and reviewing standard contracts, loan agreements, NDAs, and vendor or service provider agreements.
• Maintain and update legal document repositories and standard templates.

Legal Research and Advisory

• Conduct legal research on banking laws, RBI circulars, regulations, and relevant case laws.
• Prepare preliminary legal opinions and research notes under the supervision of senior counsel.

Litigation and Case Management

• Maintain and track records of ongoing litigation and legal notices.
• Coordinate with external counsel and assist in preparing briefs, filings, and responses.

Regulatory and Compliance Support

• Support compliance with RBI guidelines, the Companies Act, the Indian Contract Act, and other applicable statutes.
• Assist in preparing legal and compliance reports for internal stakeholders.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with business, operations, HR, and risk teams to provide legal support.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulatory authorities, and statutory bodies as required.

Eligibility

• Qualifications: LL.B. (mandatory). LL.M. preferred.
• Experience: 0–3 years of experience in a bank, NBFC, corporate legal team, or law firm. Fresh law graduates with relevant internships in banking or finance may also be considered.
