Details of the Job/Internship
YES BANK is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4–8 years of relevant experience to join its Registered Office in Mumbai. The role involves handling legal matters related to domestic and cross-border lending transactions, security documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and review transaction and security documents for domestic and cross-border lending transactions, including APLMA/LMA documentation.
- Liaise with external legal counsels for cross-border transactions across multiple geographies.
- Vet product/process notes, policies, and terms and conditions related to various products/services.
- Analyze legal issues related to statutory and regulatory risks/compliances and provide advisories/recommendations to business teams.
- Track and update laws, rules, and regulations relevant to the Bank’s business and policies.
Eligibility
- LLB from a reputed law college/university in India.
- Master’s Degree/LLM from foreign or reputed domestic institutions preferred.
- Relevant work experience in scheduled commercial banks, foreign banks, or law firms handling cross-border transactions.
- Well-versed in Indian laws and regulations related to lending and security creation.
- Candidates with only litigation, retail, or collection experience will not be considered.
