Details of the Job/Internship
Yogayatan Group is hiring a Legal Associate to join its office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, vet, and negotiate complex infrastructure and maritime contracts.
- Advise management on contractual rights, risks, and obligations.
- Negotiate legal clearances, tenders, and contracts with counterparties.
- Lead dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation proceedings.
- Monitor statutory, regulatory, and contractual compliance.
- Structure contracts for joint ventures, ports, shipping, dredging, and civil engineering projects.
- Provide legal inputs during board meetings, investor communications, and project reviews.
- Maintain contract management systems and legal documentation databases.
- Track amendments in contract, marine, environmental, and infrastructure laws.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM from a reputed institution.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with a solicitor firm.
- Specialisation in Contract Law, Arbitration, Risk Management, Infrastructure, or Maritime Law.
- Knowledge of real estate, ports, shipping, or related legal matters is an advantage.
- Additional certifications in Arbitration, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law, Infrastructure Law, or Maritime Law are preferred.
