Role and Responsibilities
Drafting and Vetting:
- Draft and vet various agreements, contracts, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure legal accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct thorough reviews of contractual terms and conditions to mitigate potential risks and liabilities.
Representation and Negotiation:
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including administrative hearings, court trials, and arbitration.
- Negotiate favorable deals and agreements with external parties, leveraging legal expertise to protect the companys interests.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the industry and provide timely updates to management and team leads.
- Conduct research to identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
Litigation Management:
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, coordination with external legal counsel, and court appearances.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on strategies to avoid litigation and resolve disputes effectively.
Specialized Expertise:
- Utilize experience in handling police station-related complaints and cyber law matters to address legal issues promptly and efficiently.
- Offer guidance and support on matters related to intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
Eligibility
- Bachelors degree in Law with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment or comparable law firm.
- Deep understanding of contract law, corporate law, labour law, tax law and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully representing clients in legal proceedings and negotiations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Membership in the Bar Association and relevant certifications would be advantageous.
