Details of the Job/Internship

Zyeta is hiring a Legal Associate with experience of 3 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting and Vetting and vet various agreements, contracts, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure legal accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
• Thorough reviews of contractual terms and conditions to mitigate potential risks and liabilities.
• Representation and Negotiation: the company in legal proceedings, including administrative hearings, court trials, and arbitration.
• Favorable deals and agreements with external parties, leveraging legal expertise to protect the company's interests.
• Compliance and Risk Management:se abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the industry and provide timely updates to management and team leads.
• Research to identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Litigation Management: all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, coordination with external legal counsel, and court appearances.
• Guidance to internal teams on strategies to avoid litigation and resolve disputes effectively.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Law with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment or comparable law firm.
• Deep understanding of contract law, corporate law, labour law, tax law and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proven track record of successfully representing clients in legal proceedings and negotiations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Membership in the Bar Association of India/ Karnataka and relevant certifications would be advantageous.
