Details of the Job/Internship

Pegasus Assets Reconstruction Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Legal Associate/Officer with experience of 1–2 years to join their office in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, or Kolkata.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in the end-to-end SARFAESI process, including issuing 13(2) demand notices and 13(4) possession notices.
• Draft demand notices, replies to borrower queries, and affidavits for court submissions.
• Vet legal documents related to mortgage creation and property title reports.
• Liaise with police stations and District Magistrates (DM) to obtain physical possession of assets under Section 14.
• Maintain accurate Legal MIS reports and case trackers to monitor the status of NPA recoveries.
• Assist in litigation proceedings at the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), consumer forums, and civil courts.
• Coordinate the auction, sale, and liquidation process for secured properties.

Eligibility

• LLB or an equivalent law degree.
• 1–2 years of experience (Freshers and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply).
• Strong understanding of the SARFAESI Act 2002, RDDB Act, and Transfer of Property Act.
• Familiarity with the NI Act (Section 138) and relevant RBI guidelines.
• Proficient legal drafting skills and analytical aptitude for property-related documentation.
• Willingness to travel and ability to manage tasks under high-pressure deadlines.
