Details of the Job/Internship
Ascend is hiring a Legal Associate with experience in US Immigration law to join their team in a 100% remote capacity.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare complex legal petitions for EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1A visa categories.
- Analyze client profiles to identify strengths and bridge gaps according to USCIS regulatory criteria.
- Conduct legal research on immigration precedents and updated policy memoranda.
- Structure persuasive arguments and cover letters that highlight a candidate’s extraordinary ability or national impact.
- Review and organize supporting evidence, including recommendation letters, publications, and citations.
- Coordinate with the talent acquisition and processing teams to ensure timely submission of high-quality petitions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US immigration law changes and their impact on high-value filings.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or a related field.
- Proven experience or a strong background in US Immigration law.
- Deep understanding of petition structures for EB-1, EB-2 NIW, and O-1A categories.
- Exceptional legal drafting and analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in English and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, deadline-driven environment.
