Details of the Job/Internship
SLB is hiring a Legal Attorney with 6–8 years of experience to join its India Legal Team in Navi Mumbai. The role involves providing legal assistance and advisory support across corporate compliances, contract management, dispute resolution, and litigation, while supporting India business operations and growth strategies.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist the India Contracts Manager in advising India management and supporting business plans, growth strategies, and operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal and commercial documents independently.
- Handle pre-contractual disputes and support litigation management, including liaison with external counsels.
- Coordinate with internal departments to address matters involving potential legal exposure.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Companies Act, 2013, FEMA, DPDP Act, competition law, and labour laws.
- Support corporate compliances and ensure timely statutory filings.
- Assist in providing legal and contracts training to operations, other functions, and management.
- Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Assist in developing and implementing procedures, guidelines, workflows, and templates.
- Escalate key legal issues to management in a timely manner.
- Participate in legal department strategic initiatives.
- Use SLB legal systems and tools and contribute to legal knowledge management resources.
Eligibility
- Legal degree (B.S.L. LL.B, LL.B, or LL.M).
- Bar admission.
- Minimum 6–8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Law firm or in-house legal background with a strong corporate law focus.
- Exceptional drafting and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to handle multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Technological proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel, when required.
Salary/Stipend
