Details of the Job/Internship
Gehi & Associates is hiring a Legal Auditor to work remotely on a full-time basis from 06:00 AM to 03:00 PM EST, Monday to Saturday.
Role and Responsibilities
Cases
- Conduct weekly and monthly audits of the Firm’s cases and the caseworkers’ files.
- Track cases submitted to the U.S. team for final review and ensure they are mailed on time.
- Review incoming mail to ensure proper assignment and necessary action.
- Review outgoing mail to ensure files are correctly uploaded.
- Conduct daily audits of newly started cases to ensure summaries, strategies, and retainer agreements are updated and uploaded.
- Coordinate between the U.S. and India teams regarding newly signed cases and ensure timely completion of work.
- Conduct daily audits of the admin dashboard and remind caseworkers of deadlines.
- Track team members’ progress by auditing tasks and tickets and provide performance feedback.
- Reassign cases if any team member leaves.
- Handle urgent cases.
- Return calls for cases where no caseworker is assigned.
- Request reviews from clients of successful cases.
Events Calendar
- Conduct daily audits of all upcoming events in the calendar.
- Check Alien numbers through the immigration hotline number / EOIR website and inform the Managing Attorneys.
- Track deportation cases sent to the U.S. team for final review and ensure timely mailing before deadlines.
- Create and audit events on MyLS and Google Calendar to prevent missed deadlines.
- Remind attorneys about court hearings and ensure case notes are updated after hearings.
Court Emails
- Conduct daily audits of emails received from the court regarding the Firm’s cases.
- Inform attorneys and caseworkers of orders and documents received from opponents and the court.
- Create events to ensure deadlines are not missed.
- Assign tasks where necessary.
- Follow up with attorneys and support staff to ensure compliance with court orders.
