eBay is hiring for the position of Legal & Company Secretary with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal & Regulatory
  • Provide practical, solutions-focused legal advice across:
  • Commercial contracts
  • Consumer protection
  • Product and regulatory compliance
  • Employment law
  • Data privacy
  • Intellectual property
  • Marketing and corporate governance
• Manage litigation, including civil/criminal complaints and dispute resolution with users.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments; develop policies and ensure compliance.
• Company Secretarial
• Handle corporate compliance under the Companies Act, including:
• Preparing board/shareholder meeting minutes
• Managing MCA filings and statutory records
• Act as Company Secretary for one Indian group entity.
• Strategic & Operational
• Partner with internal stakeholders to implement scalable legal operations aligned with business growth.
• Lead external counsel engagement, including oversight of legal budgets and spend.
• Collaborate with eBay’s Asia-Pacific legal team to ensure legal consistency across jurisdictions.

Eligibility

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification legal experience, including:
• Time at a top-tier law firm
• In-house counsel experience within a global tech or ecommerce company.
• Preference for candidates with broad exposure to ecommerce, product development, and technology services industries.

Education & Certifications

• Law degree from a reputable institution (preferably a National Law School or premier university).
• Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
